An enclosure shaped to the room, not the other way round

A made-to-measure shower enclosure uses the space available without unnecessary profiles and gaps. It can close off an alcove, follow a sloping wall, or join a fixed screen to a door where a standard enclosure does not fit. Before proposing a design we look at the direction of entry, the position of the fittings and how much room the door has to open safely.

The survey is carried out once the wall and floor finishes are complete. Only then can we record the real angles, the fall of the floor and the position of the edges of the shower tray or channel. These details determine where the glass ends and how the water is kept within the showering zone. A sliding, hinged or fixed design is chosen according to everyday use, not appearance alone.

Material and construction

The glass specifications intended for this work are Tempered float glass 8 mm · Lamistal laminated glass 4+4 mm. Hardware is available in polished chrome · matt black · stainless steel. Before production we establish the positions of the hinges, handles, stabilising bars and every opening, because the processing required is carried out to the confirmed drawing.

We pay particular attention to where the glass meets the wall and the floor. Irregularities are taken into account when cutting, while clear joints and discreet profiles help keep the light appearance. Whether a given design is suitable is decided by the width of the opening, the weight of the panel and the supports at the actual fitting location. Routine care is a matter of removing droplets and deposits with mild products.

How it works

  1. Send us a photograph of the shower area and approximate dimensions.
  2. Once the finishes are complete we carry out a precise survey of the walls, floor and opening.
  3. Together we confirm the arrangement of the fixed sections, the way it opens and the look of the hardware.
  4. We fit the glass and hardware and check the opening and the joints in the room.
