Glass for windows, doors and walls

An insulating glass unit joins two or three panes into one sealed unit with a closed cavity between them. Units are fitted into windows, balcony doors and fixed glass walls, and the make-up is chosen by whether the space needs more warmth, light, privacy or protection from the sun.

Each pane in a unit can be different. Glass that reduces heat or solar gain often faces outwards, with clear, satin or laminated glass on the inside, depending on the room.

Material and construction

We make insulating glass as Double and triple glazing · Float 4–8 mm · Low-E 4 and 6 mm · Lamistal 3+3 · Satinato, griz, silvit · Parsol and Stopsol. On request, units are available with argon filling · glazing bars. Dimensions are taken from the frame the glass goes into, and the make-up is confirmed before production for every position separately.

When replacing existing glass we check the thickness the frame can take, so the new unit fits the existing joinery.

How it works

  1. Send us the measurements or photographs of the openings and the glass make-up you want.
  2. We check the frame, the unit thickness and the conditions where it will be fitted.
  3. We confirm the glass make-up for every position, the filling and any glazing bars.
  4. We make the units and arrange collection or fitting.

Frequently asked questions

Which kinds of glass can be combined in a unit?

Combinations are available that include Double and triple glazing · Float 4–8 mm · Low-E 4 and 6 mm · Lamistal 3+3 · Satinato, griz, silvit · Parsol and Stopsol, so each pane is chosen for the window's position, privacy and exposure to the sun.

Can a unit be filled with argon or fitted with glazing bars?

Yes, insulating glass units are available with argon filling · glazing bars, agreed when the glass make-up is confirmed.
