On Pag, exposure to the bura and to salt air varies considerably from one cove to the next rise. We therefore choose the glass, the hardware and the fixings only after inspecting the position; there is no single universal verdict on resistance that would hold for every building on the island.

The direction of exposure, the height, the span and the existing substrate all feed into the choice of glass and brackets. Salt changes what the details have to do
In positions exposed to sea spray we pay particular attention to the material of the hardware, the joints and the access for regular cleaning. The final detail is determined not only by the distance from the sea, but also by how sheltered the position is, the drainage and the way the element can be maintained.
Surveying across the whole island
We arrange survey appointments for the whole island of Pag and, when the schedule allows, combine several visits into one route. After the survey the work is carried out in our only workshop in Zadar, and before returning to fit it we confirm that the building is ready and check the transport conditions.

Yes, we plan surveys for the whole island, Novalja and the more distant places included, at a time arranged in advance and grouping journeys where that is workable.
Can you guarantee in advance that a railing will resist the bura?
We do not give a universal guarantee against the bura without inspecting the location. The design depends on the exposure, the span, the substrate, the height and other conditions of the particular building.
How does salt air affect the choice of hardware?
Proximity to the sea and direct exposure to salt are taken into account when choosing materials and maintenance, and the proposal is settled after inspecting the fitting location.
